The new Tigs and Togs web-site is up and running. Great work from the guys at Redaware www.redaware.co.uk - It looks really cool and is fabulous on iPad and other mobile devices.
Work on more stories is continuing - if you have a story and/or are an illustrator, get in touch. I need more pictures for the stories that are queuing up at Tigs and Togs HQ!

I have been helping KingBee Animations prepare for a bid with a major publisher. They are hoping to get the gig for the animation of a Children’s series of books. They’re great books too! And it will make a great series. Hopefully it will go well… We should hear in early December. I’ll let you know!

Been busy this week creating ideas for a new series by Blue Zoo - it stars this little fellow. Cool isn’t he?

Dancing in the Fire

Work on my novel continues steadily though this is likely to get disrupted by the arrival of a ‘normal’ job. I’m on the sixth chapter now and am trying to get the whole story down before commencing any rewriting process -I’m about a 3rd of the way along the story line.

Getting a job is great for the finances but lousy for creativity! But on the whole, I guess that’s Rock and Roll.

This is Dragon Grumpball - who prefers to be known as Dragon G… He’s just one of the many characters in the stories on www.tigsandtogs.co.uk - testing starts on the latest version of the web-site this weekend and the iPad version is just a few days away. Love it…

I went to see HP8 (pictured) last weekend and was struck by the singular lack of dialogue - there was also very little by way of explanation for the lavish special effects. The medium of film is converging with gaming and becoming a succession of images held together with the thin veneer of a plot. If you hadn’t read the book then much of the action, while impressive, only dimly made sense. If anyone is interested in me writing a screen play like this… please shout. How hard can it be! See below!
Harry: “Look out!”
Cut to large numbers of evil creatures climbing over mountains to kill Harry – animators please improvise here.
What is clear is that the home of true narrative will remain with the novel, and without the novel where would the film industry be? Quite a hopeful thought is it not?

We’re making great strides towards an iPad / mobile version of the famous Tigs and Togs web-site. It will be ready for launch late August - ready for a big media push into Autumn!
In the meantime new stories are starting to pile up… Sydney Dangerous has just lifted off the launch pad with the first of his adventures being crafted in the dream mines…

These guys are called Cosmo (he’s the tall one) and Blip (he’s the round one!). They travel the universe looking for tasty morsels to feed to their king.
I’ve recently written a TV epsiode for the new series being developed by Different Planet. Watch out for it. Click the link to find out more about these crazy ‘gastronauts’!

Bunnies…

This short story will be going onto my children’s web-site soon… It’s Christmas themed so there’s time yet but I’m looking for a good illustrator who can really bring the story to life.

It is currently being considered by a BAFTA winning animation company - wish me luck! - and in the meantime here’s a taster.

In the autumn when it is just getting cold and the birds have flown south for the winter, the rabbits make some plans of their own.

Because autumn can be a busy time for Rabbits too, especially the little ones.

It was nearly time for the bunnies to be tested.

Constantine was under the sycamore, hidden from sight by long, wet grass. Tasty wet grass.

“It’s nearly time, it’s nearly time,” he thought, munching as fast as he could.

The more he ate the better it would be.
